Galápagos Islands

On Monday night the Forest Photo Club meeting will feature DEBI FARLEY presenting her photos from the Galápagos Islands.

I googled it: "The Galápagos Islands is a volcanic archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. It's considered one of the world's foremost destinations for wildlife-viewing."

PHOTO CONTEST THEME: INTO THE WOODS (any photo taken in a forest). We are also accepting digital photos for feedback only.

We meet at Forest Presbyterian Church on route 221 at 7:00 pm. Hope to see you there!

Night Photography

Tonight, January 16, Forest Photo Club will meet, and our presenter is JEAN WIBBENS. Here's what she's planning.

What Can You Do When It's Dark Out?

Don't put away your camera just because the sun has set. There are many things to photograph and/or light-paint at night. All you need is a camera with manual settings, a tripod and a flashlight-although there are many other tools (or toys depending on your viewpoint) that can be used. This exciting genre of photography can be as much fun to create as it is to view after the images are processed. It is easier than you think-AND harder than it looks!

Even if all you do is play with light painting or night photography, it is an excellent way to force yourself to understand your camera's settings and how they effect exposure. You may even learn how to operate your camera "just by feel"!

This should be an excellent and enjoyable meeting. Free to all!

Using LIghtroom and Photoshop

Join us for a free demonstration of using Lightroom and Photoshop to make your photos look their best!

Forest Photo Club is always FREE and anyone is welcome to attend.

Want an easy way to remove power lines? We've got it!

Find us at Forest Presbyterian Church on Rt. 221, next to the Forest Library. We'll be there Monday, Aug. 15, at 7:00pm until 9:00pm.

Shoot and Discuss

Here's a friendly reminder about the Forest Photo Club meeting on Monday night at 7:00 pm. at Forest Presbyterian Church on Route 221. The club is free and open to anyone.

First Activity: get in teams (2-4 people, your choice) and shoot 4 photos for a photo scavenger hunt. After shooting and uploading, we'll discuss them as a group.

Contest (by email): Structures and/or Patterns. Message me on Facebook if you don't know my email address. Send me one large photo for this theme. Must be a new photo taken between June 9 and 19. Deadline for submission: June 19, 9:00 pm. Bob and Jean will be our judges and give feedback.

This meeting will get us shooting and judging results. Our goal is to have fun and learn while doing it.

Meeting Monday!

This is just a reminder that we're meeting tomorrow night (Monday, Feb 22), postponed from last week (due to snow and ice).
